Chicago Veterans

Chicago Veterans Webpage

In the course of writing the Rose of Anzio, I had done many hours of research in to Chicago’s fascinating history, the Allie’s Italian campaign, and the life and experience of soldiers. I’m in awe of all that the veterans of the Greatest Generation had gone through, and even the veterans of today.

I hope I can give something back by encouraging more people to support returning vets through my books. To that end, I plan to donate all royalties I will collect from the first month’s sales of each book of the Rose of Anzio series to the Chicago Veterans, a 501(c)(3) organization made up entirely of volunteers. They are dedicated to building a strong veterans community in Chicago by helping veterans connect to employers, taking advantage of the GI Bill, and providing information to help support those who served.

The story of Rose of Anzio begins in Chicago in the summer of 1940 and continues on to chronicle the experience of the US Allies’ experience during the Italian campaign. I want to contribute to an organization related to Chicago and American veterans, as a tribute to this amazing city and to those who had served for our country.

You can help too by making a direct donation to this group, or, purchase a copy of Rose of Anzio, Book One – Moonlight, on Amazon between January 22 to March 22, 2016. If you have subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, you can read Moonlight and all royalties I received from your read during this period will go to the Chicago Veterans too.
